Makers Frontyard - Mini Market
In the current climate, artisans are really feeling the impact of Covid-19. They face limited options for community engagement and events to retail their work. So a small group of inner west makers are taking it upon themselves and having a mini-market in their front yard. It’s kind of like a garage sale but all handmade, quality, local goods.
Swing by 71 Park Ave, Ashfield on Sat 17th or Sun 18th October 2020. It’s an opportunity for all to enjoy a chat and to support local … and if you buy, you’ll be buying direct from the makers themselves.
Join Ashfield’s WELLSPOTTED BRAND for quirky, slogan based t-shirts that are all made in Sydney and hand screen printed by Tony, the designer/screen printer behind Wellspotted. He’ll also have a range of tote bags and accessories that make perfect gifts. wellspotted.com.au/
Ashfield’s YOU ARE BRAVE TEXTILES will also be there on both days with hand printed home textiles by Michelle. The new spring range + classic Australian summer designs feature in matching table linen, handmade accessories and fabric panels perfect for crafters and makers. youarebrave.com.au/ready-made
And on Saturday 17th October only, come meet Kristin from Marrickville based HEIRLOOM DESIGN and experience her uniquely handcrafted porcelain jewellery and homewares. instagram.com/heirloomdesign
