The SweetSpot Show by Julie Paterson

Online exhibition of Julie Paterson’s recent textile works made while in residency at Australia Design Centre in February 2020. 

This series of one-off stencil-printed fabric panels are both resolved artworks and at the same time are the prototypes for a new collection of commercially printed textile designs coming in 2021.

Sitting in that good place where art and design overlap, SweetSpot is Julie's new big project for the next few years. Having run her fabric company CLOTH now for over 25 years, Julie says of this new work: ‘I’m as excited to be making this new work as I was when I started on the prototype fabrics for Cloth back in 1995. SweetSpot is the beginning of something significant for me as an artist and designer’.
